Liberation: commission for The Fabian Society

At the start of 2021 I was asked to provide artwork for Antics, the printed magazine for Young Fabians (the youth wing of The Fabian Society, a left wing think tank). I was commissioned to respond to each issue covered in “The Liberation Issue”, which included 8 different contemporary liberation struggles across the world right now.

These included the democracy protests in Hong Kong, racial equality in NHS, feminist economics, the treatment of the Uighur people in Xinjiang, the acknowledgement of asexuality, neurodiversity and ongoing islamophobia and anti-semitism. For this project I undertook in-depth research for each topic and spoke to people who were directly affected by each of the issues at hand. The magazine will be printed in June 2021.
